Preparing the Ingredients:
First, gather all your ingredients so they’re ready to go. You’ll need two small frozen beetroots that have already been steamed before freezing. This is important because raw beets can be too hard and tough for your blender. Measure out 120g of frozen berries I like to use a mix of blueberries and cherries because they give the smoothie a deep, rich color and a natural sweetness. Grab a small handful of fresh spinach, which adds a lovely green boost without changing the flavor much. You’ll also need a small piece of fresh ginger and a small piece of turmeric both are powerful for your immune system. Don’t forget to peel them gently so their flavor blends in smoothly. Then, measure out one tablespoon of honey for sweetness, one tablespoon of hemp seeds for protein and healthy fats, 100ml of soy milk, and finally, two tablespoons of kefir or live yogurt for gut health.
Blending the Smoothie:
Now it’s time to blend! Add all the ingredients into a strong blender. Start by placing the frozen ingredients at the bottom, then layer in the spinach, chopped ginger and turmeric, honey, hemp seeds, soy milk, and kefir or yogurt. Secure the lid tightly, then blend on high until everything is completely smooth. Depending on your blender’s power, you might need to stop and scrape down the sides once or twice to make sure there are no chunks left. The smoothie should have a thick, creamy texture and a beautiful reddish-purple color.
Finishing Touches and Serving:
Once the smoothie is nice and smooth, pour it into your favorite glass or cup. If you want to get fancy, you can sprinkle a little chia seed or granola on top for some crunch. Serve it cold with a spoon or straw, and enjoy every sip!

Directions

Notes
- Make sure the beets are steamed before freezing, or they’ll be too hard to blend.
- Peel the ginger and turmeric gently so you don’t end up with bitter flavors.
- If your blender isn’t powerful, chop the ginger and turmeric into small pieces first.
- Don’t add too much honey just one tablespoon is sweet enough with the berries!
