Hey pizza lovers!
Do you ever want pizza super fast, with just a few ingredients, and without turning on the oven? Well, I’ve got something exciting to share my High Protein Air Fryer Pizza! It’s crispy, cheesy, and loaded with protein to keep you full and happy. Plus, it takes only 5 minutes to cook and uses just 5 main ingredients (plus a few yummy toppings). So let’s get rolling (literally!) and make pizza magic right in your air fryer!
Method
Make the Dough
First things first we start with the dough! In a mixing bowl, combine 100 grams of self-raising flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 100 grams of 0% Greek yoghurt. Use your hands to mix everything together. At first, it might feel a little sticky, but keep kneading and working it into a ball. You’re looking for a soft, smooth dough that holds its shape and doesn’t stick too much to your fingers. This is your base, and thanks to the Greek yoghurt, it’s full of protein and gives the crust a slight tangy flavor that tastes amazing once cooked.
Roll It Out
Now it’s time to roll! Lightly sprinkle some flour on a clean surface so your dough doesn’t stick. Then take your ball of dough and roll it out into a circle, about the size of your air fryer basket. If you don’t have a rolling pin no worries! You can use a mug, a glass, or even just press it flat with your hands. Just try to get it as even as possible so it cooks uniformly later. It doesn’t have to be a perfect circle this is homemade pizza, and a little personality is always welcome!
First Air Fryer Cook
Carefully lift your rolled-out dough and place it into your air fryer basket. If your air fryer tends to stick, you can place a small piece of parchment paper underneath or give the basket a quick spray with oil. Set the air fryer to 200°C (about 390°F) and cook the dough for 5 minutes. During this time, the dough will begin to puff slightly and form a light golden crust on the bottom.
Flip and Cook Again
Once the first side is cooked, open the air fryer and carefully flip the base over. This step is important because it makes sure both sides of your crust are evenly crispy. Place it back in the air fryer and cook the other side for another 3 minutes. By the end of this step, you’ll have a fully cooked, golden pizza crust that’s ready for toppings!
Make the Sauce
While your crust is crisping up, you can quickly mix your pizza sauce. In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of tomato purée, a crack of salt, and 1 teaspoon of oil (olive oil works great!). Give it a good stir until it’s smooth. This simple mixture creates a thick, rich sauce with a concentrated tomato flavor. It’s way better than runny sauces or passata, which can make your pizza soggy this one gives you great taste and texture with no mess.
Add Sauce and Cheese
After your crust is fully cooked, take it out of the air fryer and place it on a clean surface. Spread the tomato sauce evenly across the top using the back of a spoon or a butter knife. Make sure to leave a little space around the edges for that classic pizza look. Then, sprinkle your 25 grams of shredded mozzarella cheese right on top. The cheese will melt beautifully in the final step, so you don’t need a lot to make it delicious.
Final Air Fryer Cook
Once your pizza is sauced and cheesed, carefully return it to the air fryer. Cook for 2 more minutes at 200°C. This step melts the cheese into gooey perfection and gives the edges a golden finish. Keep an eye on it every air fryer is a little different, and you don’t want to overcook the cheese.
Top It Your Way!
Now comes the fun part toppings! You can totally make this pizza your own. I like to top mine with sweetcorn, pepperoni slices, and a bit of shredded cooked chicken. If your toppings are cold, you can pop the pizza back in the air fryer for 1 extra minute just to warm everything up. Don’t go overboard, though too many toppings can weigh the pizza down or stop it from crisping up.

Directions
- Make the Dough In a bowl, mix your flour, salt, and Greek yoghurt. Use your hands to knead until you get a smooth ball of dough. It should feel soft, not sticky.

- First Air Fryer Cook Carefully place your dough into the air fryer. Cook at 200°C (about 390°F) for 5 minutes.
- Flip and Cook Again Flip the dough over and cook for 3 more minutes. This helps it get crispy on both sides!

Notes
- Don’t add too much sauce it can make your pizza soggy.

- Always flip the base in the air fryer so both sides cook evenly.
- Don’t overload the toppings or it might not cook through properly.
