Hi friends!
If you’re anything like me, you know the best part of granola is those big, crunchy clusters! Whether you’re grabbing a handful as a snack or sprinkling them on yogurt, they’re just so good. Today, I’m sharing a special secret that makes the crunchiest granola clusters ever… and you won’t believe how easy it is!
Yep it’s made in the air fryer and uses simple, wholesome ingredients. Let’s jump right in!
Method (In Detail):
Mix the Dry Ingredients
First, grab a large mixing bowl and pour in all your dry ingredients. This includes your oats, pumpkin seeds, chopped nuts (like cashews, almonds, and hazelnuts), a pinch of salt, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Give everything a good stir with a spoon or spatula so that the ingredients are well mixed. This step helps make sure every bite is full of yummy flavor and crunch. The oats give you a good base, and the seeds and nuts add that amazing texture we all love.
Mix the Wet Ingredients
Now it’s time to get your sticky, sweet binder ready! In a separate small bowl, add your egg white, peanut butter, and honey. Use a spoon or whisk to stir it all together until it becomes smooth and blended. The egg white is the secret weapon here it helps everything stick together and forms those delicious crunchy clusters once cooked. Make sure there are no big lumps of peanut butter. A smooth mixture will coat the dry ingredients better.
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Next, pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. This part can be a little messy, but it’s fun! Use a spatula or spoon to stir everything together really well. Keep mixing until all the oats, nuts, and seeds are coated evenly. It should feel a little sticky this is exactly what you want. This step is super important because it makes sure the clusters hold their shape while cooking.
Spread the Mixture in the Air Fryer
Once your mixture is ready, it’s time to add it to your air fryer basket. Spread the mix out into a thin, even layer using your hands or a spatula. Try not to press it down too hard you want the air to move around so the granola can get crispy on all sides. The mixture should cover the bottom of the air fryer without piling up too thick. If you have a smaller air fryer, you might need to cook it in two batches so it doesn’t get overcrowded.
Air Fry the Granola Clusters
Set your air fryer to 120°C (or 250°F) and cook the mixture for about 13 minutes. This lower temperature helps everything dry out slowly, giving you that golden-brown color and amazing crunch without burning. Keep an eye on it the first time you make it some air fryers cook a little faster than others.
Let It Cool Completely
When the timer goes off, take the basket out and let your granola clusters cool completely before you touch them. This step is super important! The clusters might feel soft when they first come out, but they’ll firm up as they cool. Once cooled, break it into big or small clusters whatever size you like.

Pinch of cinnamon
Directions
- Mix the dry stuff: In a large bowl, add your oats, seeds, nuts, salt, and cinnamon. Give it a good mix.

- Combine it all: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ones and mix until everything sticks together.
- Time to air fry: Spread the mixture into a flat layer inside your air fryer basket. Try to keep it in one even layer, but don’t press it down too hard!
- Cook it: Air fry at 120°C (250°F) for 13 minutes. Then, let it cool completely. As it cools, it will get even crunchier!
Notes
- Don’t press down too much when adding to the air fryer or it won’t break into clusters later.
- Let it cool completely before touching it firms up as it cools and gives you better crunch!
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer. If your air fryer is small, cook in two batches.
